Primary Purpose
The Digital Site Merchandising Manager at Ahold Delhaize USA is the leader within their category (example: Edible, Dairy, Frozen, Produce, etc) by managing the optimization of product assortments for the online product catalog.

The Manager has a team of site merchandising professionals, ensuring that digital content and products are consistently aligned with brand standards and commercial goals. The Manager utilizes data analytics to gain insights and ensure merchandising plans support key digital merchandising and the Great Local Brand's strategic initiatives.

This role is essential in driving operational excellence within the merchandising team, ensuring that all digital content is accurately and effectively presented to maximize customer engagement and conversion rates, ultimately driving growth of e-Commerce for ADUSA's Great Local Brands.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, and ME, Hyattsville, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements the site merchandising strategies within the assigned categories that align with the category goals and enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Optimizes site content, navigation, and search results to improve customer engagement and conversion rates.
  • Leads and mentor a team of merchandising professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Category Management, Product, and Analytics, to ensure digital content aligns with category objectives and brand standards.
  • Creates and manages product categories to improve site navigation and customer search functionality
  • Monitors site performance metrics and leverage data-driven insights to identify trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manages the execution of seasonal and promotional activities for owned categories, ensuring timely and accurate content updates and help drive customer engagement across the digital portfolios (website, apps, etc.)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in site merchandising, e-commerce, category management or digital marketing
  • 3+ years of experience in successfully leading teams
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in using data to inform merchandising decisions that drive revenue growth.
  • Familair with using web analytics and e-commerce platforms
  • Experience with digital merchandising tools and content management systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in a site merchandising role within a retail or e-commerce organization.
  • Familiarity with site optimization tools and platforms, such as Bloomreach or Sitecore
  • Experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement in digital merchandising
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, SEO, and personalization strategies
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally
