Primary Purpose: The overall objective of this role is to drive financial performance by providing research, analytics, and recommendations on complex business modeling, non-standard reporting, and impacts of changing accounting principles to leadership. This position requires vast expertise in cash management principles, such as accounting analysis & reporting, accounting controls & audit and payment process governance.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze, reconcile, and summarize financial data related to Cash In-Transit reclassifications and preparing book overdraft entries
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of 3rd party provider (Genpact), including journal entries and reconciliations, leading the team to higher performance
- Responsible for preparation of balance sheet flux & enclosures, partnering closely with the Record-to-Report team
- Leads period close activities for Cash Management, including oversight of period reporting metrics, maintaining current knowledge of specialized accounting and/or current tax laws and governmental regulations
- Serves as primary technical resource for accounting controls & audit support related to Cash Management activities, i.e. Bwise Cash Management Controls, IHC and virtual pay monitoring and initiates bank account set-up in SAP
- Identifies and assesses financial variances based on knowledge and expertise, providing insight and advice for senior management and other end users regarding accounting issues that arise from reconciliation or reported financial results
- Interacts with internal and external partners while supporting daily cross-functional cash controlling committee, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Record to Report and gains cooperation and commitment through personal persuasiveness
- Acts as liaison for Accounts Payable team for ACH Returns resolution and escheatment research while maintaining positive working relationships to solve difficult systematic problems

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
- 6-8 years
- Strong excel skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Customer-centric
- Knowledge of the Ahold Delhaize accounting processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA preferred, not required
- SAP Experience
