Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.<br><br><strong> <span style=\"font-family: 'Aptos Display', sans-serif;\">Primary Purpose: </span> </strong><br><br>Responsible for managing all aspects of the Fixed Assets function for capital asset accounting and serve as key point of contact between Brands and Ahold-Delhaize business partners to achieve major business goals of the Company. The primary purpose of this position is to implement, manage, and coordinate the proper accounting for accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to fixed assets. This position also represents the capital assets function on special projects, committees and coordinates and helps perform administrative duties for the team and manages the responsibilities of the team as it relates to system enhancements and upgrades. Ensures efficient departmental processes are in place and well controlled, establishing departmental goals, supporting corporate goals/initiatives, and setting priorities to ensure yearly goals are met. Acts as a knowledge expert in the organization. <br><br><strong> Our hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Scarborough, ME, Salisbury, NC, Carlisle, PA </strong><br><br><strong> Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. </strong><br><br><strong> Duties and Responsibilities: </strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Oversees the team of analysts responsible for all fixed asset accounting activities across all U.S brands, inclusive of developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Responsible for all day-to-day problems that arise within the fixed asset accounting across our U.S brands, inclusive of coaching team members in researching and resolving concerns such as reporting variances, accrual assumption changes, and system issues from business areas. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Oversees and is responsible for all fixed asset activities such as additions, retirements, impairments, divestments, asset transfers, and other transactions.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, as well as periodic reporting of all activities for all U.S Brands and Support Companies.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Manages team to ensure efficient departmental processes are in place, establishing departmental goals, supporting corporate goals/initiatives, and setting priorities to ensure yearly goals are met. Act as a knowledge expert in the organization. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Partners with Brand Finance leads to support the budgeting process and updates for forecast for the fixed asset activities of all the ADUSA entities ($17B in assets, $1.3B in annual asset additions and $1.3B in depreciation expense annually.)</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Responsible for performance management, training and development of the team and drives continuous improvement of all fixed asset processes</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Provide global partners (GSO) with critical U.S reporting by brand and support company that feeds into external disclosures.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Manage, organize and administer implementation of special short term or one-time opportunities, business enhancements or changes in business processes for capital assets functions. This involves partnering with the business and IT teams to ensure all upgrades and enhancements are appropriate and adequately tested. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Act as a capital asset liaison for all business partners, including Brand Finance partners, FP&A/Investment Planning, Tax, support functions and other business units. Expert liaison for the capital asset function on committees, such as business combinations or special projects (i.e. M&A and divestment activities).</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Partners with internal and external auditors to ensure audits are supported with adequate documentation of processes and controls and timely submission of all requests. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Perform and sign off on all key controls identified by Risk and Controls department.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Leads the partnership with FP&A to ensure accurate reporting of key external metrics such as capital spend and working capital. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Manages compliance with internal controls and adherence to IFRS accounting standards and the AD accounting manual, through providing advice and counsel to business partners within the U.S. brands.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Work closely with business functions to ensure compliance with the Company's capitalization policy for significant projects inclusive of reviewing expenditures to determine capitalization or expense.</span></li></ul><br><strong> Qualifications: </strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">8+ years of progressive accounting/operational experience</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in accounting or related fields.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Deep understanding of capitalization rules as defined in the Global AD Accounting manual.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Experience in SAP, Coupa, Service Channel and project systems. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">Ability to research and solve complex problems through asking the right questions and accurately analyzing the data provided.</span></li></ul><br><strong> Preferred Qualifications: </strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: black;\">CPA preferred but not required</span></li></ul><br><strong> ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: </strong>$63,440-$95,160 <br><br>Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
