Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.<br><br><strong> <span style=\"font-family: 'Aptos Display', sans-serif;\">Primary Purpose: </span> </strong><br><br><span style=\"font-family: 'Aptos Display', sans-serif; color: black;\">Develops conceptual estimates for construction projects consisting of new stores, remodels, acquisition/ takeover projects and investment properties to assist executive management with making decisions regarding approval, planning and distribution of Capital funds. Estimates cost of special projects including equipment upgrades/change-outs, room/office additions or enlargements, retail department layout changes, and Operation Directors discretionary improvement requests. Collaborate with Fixed Assets and Accounting in projecting expenses, write-offs, and accelerated depreciation associated with major construction and special projects. In support of Format evolutions, advise Leadership of changes in prototypical building, equipment and ongoing capital costs. Provide alternatives for Real Estate in the development of new store and expansions scenarios. Partner with Real Estate, Site Location Research, Design, & Retail Operations in the development of work scope, costs and strategy for open store Acquisitions. Keeps current and up to date with construction labor and material cost trends, construction economic data and continually benchmark costs for sourcing, specifications, value engineering and other cost saving opportunities.</span><br><br><strong> Our hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC </strong><br><br><strong> Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. </strong><br><br><strong> Duties and Responsibilities: </strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Develop conceptual estimates for new stores, remodels, and takeover projects including development, site, and building, décor, and equipment costs for use in financial feasibility analysis.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Prepare detailed cost estimates for existing and new supermarket facilities based on CAD generated design drawings.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Develop detailed estimates on new and current prototype formats enabling development of financial and functional analysis models leading to the definition of design criteria for all prototype formats.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Coordinate with Construction Designers, Project Managers, and contractors in the analysis of alternative pre-construction and/or change order requests to optimize total project costs.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Conduct site specific facility visits with recommendations for the development of project estimates.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Provide technical construction support and guidance to Real Estate Department in the development of conceptual cost budgets in conjunction with new stores, takeovers, and Investment Properties.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost data and trends.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Maintain detailed cost keys and price master's with updated current information.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Partner with Store Development Directors and cost estimators in other Banners to improve effectiveness of estimating process and share peak workloads.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Review project bids and reconcile them with approved capital expenditure before contract is awarded.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">On boards and trains entry level estimators on ADUSA methodology and practice</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Monitors, reacts to and communicates to Leadership industry and economic trends and associated impacts to construction costs</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Associate is responsible for managing site visits, inputs from others, workload and own time to meet strict deadlines </span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Work for this position derives from Directors and Vice Presidents, as well as scheduled waves of projects and is assigned as needed, with new work consistently being added on a daily to weekly. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Supervision for completeness and accuracy would take place on a weekly basis.</span></li></ul><br><strong> Qualifications: </strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"color: black;\">B.S. in Construction Management and a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction or equivalent job-related experience.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Minimum 2 years' experience in Commercial Construction Estimating.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Experience in Commercial Construction Project Management and scheduling.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Seasoned knowledge of design and construction methods include alternative solutions and associated cost factors.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Comprehensive ability to read and interpret Architectural Construction drawings related to all construction fields</span></li></ul><br><strong> Preferred Qualifications: </strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"color: black;\">B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Business or related field.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">5 plus years' experience in Commercial Construction Estimating.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">3 years' experience in Construction Project management and scheduling.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Seasoned knowledge of design and construction methods including alternative solutions and associated cost factors.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Comprehensive ability to read and interpret Architectural Construction drawings related to all construction fields including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.</span></li><li><span style=\"color: black;\">Strong background in business, finance and construction economics.</span></li></ul><br><strong> ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: </strong>$63,440-$95,160 <br><br>Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
