Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.<br><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Primary Purpose:</span></strong><br><br><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">This analyst has a documented track record of 5+ years of accurate store sales forecasts using analogues and gravity models for new, expanded, remodeled, and acquired stores. Design, conduct and analyze a wide range of primary market research projects including acquisition studies and detailed network optimization strategies in new and existing markets. Expertly performs all location research duties while identifying and determining appropriate growth opportunities for Ahold Delhaize USA Brands. Able to evaluate complex Real Estate/Location Research scenarios to deliver the highest ROIC. Apply seasoned knowledge of supermarket industry, trends & competitors with in-depth market analysis to recommend the highest quality actions to senior executives. Work closely with internal business partners to develop the best course of action on a wide range of complex financial and research related analysis.</span><br><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC. </span></strong><br><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. </span></strong><br><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span></strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Perform comprehensive market evaluations from start to finish with minimal oversight. Including a keen understanding of the competitive, demographic, and economic factors. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Quantify the potential of site(s) and select the best strategy for entering or expanding the market by building/using complex metropolitan gravity models. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Prepare a concise, written analysis recommending appropriate corporate strategy for senior executives. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Assist Senior Location Analysts and Managers in identifying and evaluating potential supermarket and pharmacy acquisition candidates. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Develop and incorporate new research tools including GIS to further automate forecasting process. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Coordinate market strategy assessment process through multiple departments culminating with the real estate committee meeting(s). </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Serve as a market resource and consultant to Real Estate partners. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Participate in strategic regional projects, as needed (i.e. new formats, merchandising rollout projects, competitive field research, etc.). </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Collaborate cross functionally with Real Estate, Legal, Investment Analysis and Retail leadership to execute corporate development plans. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Participate in and support M&A activity. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Participate in and support Company store portfolio optimization efforts. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Independently research and report on a wide variety of ad-hoc projects including e-commerce, new formats, and changes in the marketplace. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Help mentor/train less experienced analysts in site location functions. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Be a resource for peer review and thought partnership in regard to new systems, methodologies and processes. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Prepare post-mortem analysis on all forecasts to continuously improve forecasting accuracy and approach. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Forecast sales on ad-hoc requests beyond typical store analysis, such as stand-alone liquor stores, new department or new service offerings. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Serve as expert for Budgeting and Three-Year Plan contributions including sales projections, competitive activity assumptions, close and transfers analysis, sister store transfers, population growth and other store trends. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.</span></li></ul><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Qualifications:</span></strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Finance, Geography, Economics, or related fields or comparable experience </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Minimum 5 years Location Research experience </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Advanced knowledge of Gravity Models such as Sites Plus </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Working knowledge of ESRI, MapInfo, Kalibrate or other GIS Mapping software. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Strong organization skills and attention to detail </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Strong oral and written communication skills </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Valid Driver's License </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Able to travel overnight </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Strong math, analytical and conceptual skills with a resolve for accuracy. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Proven experience in utilizing data to support the various initiatives of the Location Research department </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage medium to large scale projects.
